Program Overview

Early Learning at the ERG focuses on preparing children in Pre-K through early elementary grades for academic readiness and school engagement. Coaching sessions introduce and strengthen core skills such as early literacy, number sense, fine motor development, and listening comprehension. Activities are designed to be developmentally appropriate, playful, and personalized to each child’s needs—helping build not just academic readiness, but also focus, persistence, and a love of learning.

Session Activities

Each session is tailored to the child’s age, developmental stage, and learning goals, and may include:

  • Phonemic awareness and letter-sound correspondence
  • Early reading and vocabulary-building activities
  • Number recognition, counting, and early math concepts
  • Fine motor skill development through writing and play-based tasks
  • Listening and following multi-step directions
  • Storytelling, sequencing, and verbal expression
  • Visual-motor and spatial reasoning games
  • Turn-taking, emotional regulation, and attention-building activities
