Aloys Kenyoru

Aloys is a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP-BC) with over 11 years of nursing experience caring and treating adolescents, adults, and recently children with a range of developmental, behavioral, and psychiatric disorders. He has experience caring for patients experiencing mood disorders, anxiety, depression, behavioral problems, attention deficit hyperactivity disorder, post-traumatic stress disorder, and other mental health conditions. He has worked inpatient in adult and geriatric psychiatric and behavioral units at the University of Maryland Medical Center. He received his M.S. in Science Nursing degree from Walden University.  

His initial work in mental health involved working with individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities as a residential counselor. He is passionate about seeing children thrive academically and socially at school, home, and in the community. He loves helping children and adolescents realize their fullest potential and assist them to confidently grow into their next chapter in life.  

Aloys works as a clinician and will listen to your concerns, review applicable records, perform psychiatric evaluations, and in collaboration with you establish an evidence-based plan of action, including medication management if necessary. Aloys performs follow-up with his clients, keeps updated with their progress, and adapts to any emerging needs to ensure his clients receive the support they need.  

Aloys holds a B.S.N. from University of Maryland at Baltimore School of Nursing. In his spare time, he enjoys reading, walking in the park, and spending time with his family and friends. He lives with his wife and son in Baltimore County.
